Homage to an Artist
In today's education one of the greatest ways for students to explore mediums and creative ideas is to replicate others work using their own style. Looking at others work allows students to learn by observation, physically replicating an art piece allows the student a in depth study of an art style. In this assignment Students will be choose an artist of their choice and pay homage to this artist by creating an artwork of their own creativity and attributing aspects of the chosen artist to this piece. Instructions: Research, and research, and research. Find an artist whose work appeals to you, make sure you really like the artist and the work they make, don’t just settle for something and someone, don’t be lazy. Tribute You are representing either the artist style or a specific piece / pieces of art produced by the artist. Sketch out an idea of what you might make to make to represent your artist. You are not copying the artists’ work, you are making an artwork of your own to pay homage to the artist You may also pay homage to an art history event. Questions:

Surreal Animal
Mixed Media In this project students will design an animal that is less than ordinary.
